I'm headed to The Gambia for a Peace Corps assignment. If all goes as planned, I will be there from November 2009 until January 2012. This is the story of the whole thing, just don't expect constant updates. And so everyone knows, the opinions expressed on this blog are my own, not those of the Peace Corps or the US government.
So good to see you and fellow workers and your "pet" on the photos. What does the signal with the fingers mean? It used to mean "peace". Does it still mean that? Love you, Linzann. Gram
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you have a matching white hat?
ReplyDeleteI thought that last picture was taken when your dad was there--a picture of him you had taken. hehe....just kidding. You know I love my brudder!!! Glad you made it back safely and so glad to see your new blog entries. Love you and miss you lots.
ReplyDeleteHere, 2 fingers stands for Team 2. That was our team's computer ID number, but it conveniently also means peace.
ReplyDeleteI had a matching white hat I wore on occasion, but I think one of the guys is probably wearing it in this picture. I didn't really enjoy wearing it and someone was always misplacing a hat in the car or saying theirs was too dirty, so my hat became the loaner.

Hi Lindsay,
ReplyDeleteJust ignore what my sister says - she's just mean. Glad that you finished up your trek successfully. Hopefully the data you collected will get more help for the wonderful people of The Gambia.
Come on Bubba--you know I was kidding...I'm not mean! You know I love you! :) Lindsay, I'm glad you had a great trek too and glad that you are back. Hope things are going well. I've got stuff together for you-- just need to get it mailed. Love you Linz and miss you lots!
